TAMPA, FL - A would-be robber got more than bargained for after he tried tried to rob the Sunoco gas station at E. Hillsborough Avenue and 34th Street.When the man attempted to rob the gas station at gunpoint, the clerk armed himself with his own firearm and fired at the suspect, striking him in the leg. Police said the suspect ran to a nearby Shell gas station and collapsed in the parking lot. The clerk held him at gunpoint until police arrived.
