ZooTampa And Coppertail Brewing Co. Launch Long-Term Partnership

The two Tampa institutions will join forces and work on environmental efforts, while supporting the growing craft beer movement in the area.

TAMPA, FL — A new collaboration has been brewing in the Tampa Bay area. ZooTampa and Coppertail Brewing Co. are excited to announce their new, multifaceted partnership, making the Tampa brewery one of ZooTampa’s key sponsors.

ZooTampa, Florida’s most popular cultural institution and leader in the rehabilitation and care of Florida wildlife, and Coppertail Brewing Co., Tampa's independently owned production brewery and tasting room in Historic Ybor, have entered into a long-term partnership with the ultimate goal of supporting conservation.

The two companies decided to form the partnership following a shared commitment to environmental efforts and the market's taste for craft beers that support a local non-profit’s mission. Coppertail and the Zoo formalized their collaboration through 2024.

"We are proud to partner with Coppertail Brewing Co. and be able to work with a great local company that understands the importance of conservation and sustainability," stated ZooTampa President and CEO Joe Couceiro. "It is an amazing experience to be able to enjoy a craft beer while at the same time contributing to conservation efforts."

"As a local brewery, we’re passionate about protecting those things that make Florida such an amazing place to live, like our native wildlife. We’re proud to support the Zoo’s efforts to rehabilitate and conserve these native species,” said Coppertail Brewing Co. President Kent Bailey.

“Working together, we think we can draw more attention and resources to help this cause, while at the same time creating some delicious beer together. Sounds like a win-win to me!"
