2nd Arrest Made in Double Shooting Outside Library
Breaking: St. Petersburg Police say a second man has been charged in the Tuesday shooting that left a Tampa man dead and another injured.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — The St. Petersburg Police Department has announced the arrest of a second man wanted in connection with a fatal Tuesday night shooting.
According to police, Michael Murray, 26, and Neville Chambers, 21, met the victims Julius Buchanan, 28, and Mark Pointer, 25, just before 11 p.m. As Buchanan and Pointer were sitting in a car outside the St. Petersburg Library, 3745 9th Ave. N., they were shot.
Pointer died from the injuries. Buchanan suffered critical injuries, police said.

Police announced Murray’s arrest Friday morning. Chambers had previously been charged with first-degree murder. Murray and Chambers “planned to rob the victims when they met in the library parking lot for a drug deal,” an email from police said. “During the drug deal, Murray shot both victims.”
Officers responded to the library’s parking lot shortly after the shooting. They found both men alive, but Pointer died later at Bayfront Health. Buchanan was last listed in critical condition.

Murray now faces first-degree murder and attempted felony murder charges, police say.
