Gun Found on Lakewood High Campus
Breaking: St. Petersburg Police say a 15-year-old boy had a loaded handgun on the Lakewood High School campus Tuesday afternoon.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 15-year-old Lakewood High School student faces criminal charges after police say they found him in possession of a loaded handgun on campus.
According to police, a probation officer visited the school around 3 p.m. Tuesday. The teen, who is not being identified by Patch, had two outstanding arrest warrants for trespassing and disorderly conduct, police say.
When the school’s resource officer searched the teen prior to his arrest on the warrants, a loaded gun was found hidden under his clothing, police said.

The teen was charged on the two warrants and now also faces a third-degree felony charge for having a weapon on school property.
