Man Killed in Kenneth City Pedestrian Crash

KENNETH CITY, FL — A 55-year-old Kenneth City man is dead following a Tuesday morning crash on 49th Street North.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Jesse John Nowak, 20 of Kenneth City was driving a Toyota Scion north on 49th Street just after 7 a.m. Oct. 18. At that time, Earnest Lee Taylor, who was initially in the median north of 58th Avenue North, stepped into Nowak’s path, a highway patrol report said.

The patrol said Nowak’s Scion struck Taylor, who was hospitalized following the accident. Taylor later died from his injuries.

No charges were filed, a highway patrol report said.
