St. Petersburg Posts President's Day Schedule

The Presidents' holiday impacts residential trash and recycling collections. City government facilities will be closed. Read on for details.

From the city of St. Petersburg: During the Presidents' holidayweek, February 20 to 24, the only changes for trash and recycling pickup daysfor St. Petersburg residential customers are:

  • Monday collections for garbage and recycling will be made on Tuesday.
  • Tuesday collections for garbage and recycling will be Wednesday.Thursday and Friday collections for residential customers remain the same.

In observance of the Presidents' Day holiday on Monday, February 20, city government facilities closed to the public include St. Petersburg City Halland Municipal Services Center downtown, Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, The Greenhouse, Coliseum, Enoch Davis Center, Jamestown Apartments and Townhomes Office, Dwight H. Jones Neighborhood Center, six community libraries, Sunken Gardens' business office and the Sunshine Center.

The following city facilities will be OPEN to the public on Monday, February 20:

  • Three Golf Courses (Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links & Twin Brooks);
  • West Community Library at St. Petersburg College*;
  • Mahaffey Theater at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts;
  • Municipal beach concession stand (Treasure Island);
  • Municipal Marina Ship's Store; North Shore Aquatic Complex;
  • Recreation Centers including youth camp sites;
  • Sanitation Department Brush Sites; and Sunken Gardens' attraction.
  • The West Community Library at St. Petersburg College Gibbs campus is openregular hours, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, February 20.
