Woman Sought in St. Pete Identity Theft Case

Eighteen victims have been identified so far and two arrests made in a St. Pete identity theft case.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — St. Petersburg Police are looking for help locating a 55-year-old woman its officers say helped steal the identities of at least 18 people. Two arrests have been made following a year-long investigation into the allegations, but the woman remains at large.

According to police, Isabelle Denise Dallas is accused of taking customer information from her job and providing it to her daughter, Jessica Dallas, 32. Police say Jessica Dallas was arrested on Oct. 5 on scheme to defraud charges.

The younger Dallas lives in government subsidized housing, the agency noted in an email to media. She “used the personal information of 18 victims to open fraudulent credit card accounts,” police wrote. The cards were used to pay Jessica Dallas’ water, Duke Energy and cable bills at her home. Police also say she used the fraudulent cards to pay for jail commissary privileges for the father of her youngest child.

Chantelle Danielle Jones, 38, was also charged with scheme to defraud in the case. She also had two outstanding warrants at the time of her Oct. 18 arrest.

“She (Jones) used victims’ information to fraudulently open online bank accounts,” the email said. Victims’ personal information was also used to rent more than $4,000 in furniture, police say. That furniture has not been found.

Isabelle Denise Dallas worked at a magazine subscription company, police said. The company, Magazines Unlimited, was not involved and “was extremely helpful in the investigation,” Yolanda Fernandez, police department spokeswoman, said.

All of the identified victims so far live out of state, Fernandez added.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Isabelle Denise Dallas is asked to contact the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7780.
