Celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Tarpon Springs

If you're feeling lucky as a leprechaun, then this Tarpon Springs-infused St. Patty's Day guide is right up your alley. 

For those about to rock out in green:

Mulligan's Irish Pub is hosting a weekend long St. Patrick's Day Bash with raffles, Irish fare, a photo booth and live entertainment. Click here for more details.

Tarpon Tavern is planning a St. Paddy's Day party that will include live music, green beer, giveaways and food specials. Call the tavern at 727-945-1000 for more information.

Although Anclote Brew and T-Fly's are not going green for St. Patrick's Day, the bars will still be open for business on Sunday during regular hours. So, if you're not a big fan of the green beer and parties, those are two options you might want to consider.

For the more laid back, house party kind of folks:

Green beer is a simple creation. Just grab your favorite type of beer and some green food coloring. One or two drops should do the trick! Beware, darker beers like Guinness probably won't take to the dye as well as a lighter beer. 

The Food Network offers recipes for delicious Irish favorites like corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie and Irish soda bread.

To seal the deal with something sweet, try one of these dessert recipes from All Recipes: dark Guinness brownies, Irish flag cookies or Irish tea cake.
