City Seeks to Sell 501 South Walton Property

The city-owned property drew attention from a buyer in October of last year, which resulted in the current push to develop the rundown lot.

Tarpon Springs has issued a statement requesting letters of interest from qualified developers for the city-owned property located at 501 South Walton Ave.

In October of 2012, the Board of Commissioners were approached by The Burnard Group with a proposal to flip the lot and build an assisted living facility.

Interested developers are to send proposals to city officials no later than April 4 at 3 p.m.

According to the city, there will be an optional pre-response conference held on March 22 at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall.
