City Will Host Spring Clean Up This Weekend

Find out what will and won't be collected by the sanitation department.

On Sunday, April 14 Tarpon Springs sanitation customers are encouraged to place large items on their curbs at 7 a.m. for collection by city employees.

Items include:

  • Furniture
  • Matresses
  • Washers
  • Dryers
  • Ovens
  • Small, bulky household items

According to a news release, the city will not be picking up items such as:

  • Tires
  • Yard Waste
  • Propane tanks
  • Air conditioning units
  • Construction material (over 4 ft.)
  • Refrigerators
  • Freezers
  • Microwaves
  • Electronics
  • Chemicals

Got tires?

Residents looking to get rid of used tires can drop them off at the City of Tarpon Springs yard-waste facility, located at 898 So. Levis Ave., on Friday, April 12 from 7 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. or on Saturday, April 13 from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m.

For household electronics and chemical disposal, the city will be taking drop offs at Tarpon Springs High School on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
