Florida Hospital North Pinellas Supports the Efforts of Mt. Moriah AME Church

The local facility is teaming up with Mt. Moriah for a good cause.

One of the participating organizations of the Helen Ellis Memorial Foundation,Β Mt. Moriah AME Churchin Tarpon Springs is happy to announce their exposition on Saturday, January 5 at the Tarpon Springs Recreation Center. The event will focus on the quality of life for residents in Tarpon Springs.

β€œMt. Moriah’s community development program was birthed to serve the community at large. Our vision for the community is to have a life skills program in place where we can teach people how to communicate, how to conduct themselves in a job interview, how to dress appropriately, proper hygiene and proper dieting,” said Reverend Stallworth of Mt. Moriah AME Church in Tarpon Springs. β€œWe’re so excited! We want everyone to know that we’re up and running.” Β 

The targeted audience for this program is youth, ages 10-18 and enrollment is free.Β

This youth life kkills program is funded through sponsorship. $100 of sponsorship will cover curriculum, housekeeping, snacks and space rental. The instructor for the course is Dwight Gilmer, President and CEO of TEAM International Consulting, Inc., who is best known for his ability to stimulate human potential, goal setting and his ability to transform human desires to realities.Β 

Hopes of a literary program, a tutoring program and more are in Reverend Stallworth’s, ofΒ Mt. Moriah AME Church,Β future.Β

Additionally Stallworth will be seeking grant funding to restore seniors’ homes in the area as well as house an AIDS awareness and testing site. His ambitions are high and his heart is full. Reverend Stallworth and Yvonne Smith are looking for volunteers to donate their time to the upcoming Exposition on January 5, 2013.Β
