Community Corner
Freedom Inn of Tarpon Springs to Host Fall Prevention Course
The local business has partnered with Harmony Home Health to bring a class for seniors to the area.

In one year in Pinellas County, more than 14,000 calls were placed to 911 due to falls. In recognition of the growing need to educate families on this issue, a local family-owned home health agency, Harmony Home Health, has partnered with a team of medical and home safety professionals to co-host a unique educational event at Freedom Inn of Tarpon Springs on February 7th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. entitled "Show Your Love with Fall Prevention Education."Â
The interactive event will address a variety of ways to identify fall risks for each individual and implement concrete solutions for minimizing the chance of falls.
All participants in the event are dedicated to the mission of the Pasco-Pinellas Fall Prevention Coalition, a grass roots group comprised of agencies, government representatives and businesses that serve seniors and are dedicated to finding ways to prevent falls among older adults.Â
