Greek Independence Day, Gulf Maritime Festival and Sunday Market

Friday

At the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center guests can enjoy a live showing of Il Trovatore at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night. A final performance will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $22 or $18 for members and students.

Saturday

From 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., visitors can indulge in culture and history on the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks during the annual Gulf Maritime Festival. Demonstrations, dance and food offerings make for an unforgettable good time. The events is free. Call 727-937-1130 for more information.

Sunday

Don't forget to stop by the Tarpon Sunday Market for all your weekly produce needs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Relax with live music, fresh air and some of the area's most talented vendors.

Celebrate Greek Independence Day at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral's Community Center starting at 12 p.m. Admission is $2 and lunch is $10. Dance performances, live music and food offer an enticing end to the weekend.
