TARPON SPRINGS, FL — The president of the Tarpon Springs Little League stole more than $23,000 from the organization, authorities said.

Nicole Lampadarios Free was arrested Thursday and charged with grand theft of over $20,000, Tarpon Springs police said.

Free stole the money, including $18,000 in cash withdrawals, from the league’s accounts starting in June 2023 through March 2024.

Members of the organization’s board became suspicious when vendors reported league payments were being returned for “insufficient funds,” police said.
