She said that her Mediterranean background plays a role in her confidence, considering Tarpon's Greek population.

Wardia lives in Dunedin, but said she thinks Tarpon is the "perfect location" for Enchanted Oven.

A self-proclaimed artistic spirit, Wardia expresses her creative side through baking. Cakes, cupcakes, pastries and breads are all on Wardia's to-do list for the bakery's launch.

Wardia added that she isn't against growing, but that a solid base of goods is vital. And she said she hopes the community will help mold her menu and focus.

"I like to keep my ears open and listen to what people want," Wardia said. "Seeing that we're new, we're going to be watching everything very, very closely."

In the long run, Wardia hopes to fulfill a lifelong goal of serving underprivileged youth.

With experience working for Pinellas County, Wardia said that witnessing the effects of the recession hit home.

"It really opened my eyes, and my goal is to get a nonprofit up," Wardia explained.

Although it's a plan for the future, Wardia said that the nonprofit's purpose would be to shower kids with love through baked goods.

Whether it's a birthday cake or cupcake for getting good grades, Wardia said that each child deserves positive re-enforcement.

"When it comes to kids, it's my passion," Wardia said. "I have to do whatever I can do to help those kids."
