Pub Ride, Cupcakes and Amsterdam Brass Quintet: This Weekend in Tarpon

Friday
From 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., Tarponites are invited to visit the new bakery in town, Enchanted Oven. Guests are able to vote on the official cupcake flavor of Tarpon Springs, which will take place throughout the month of February before an official flavor is chosen. Friday marks the grand opening of the new business.
Stop by Artists' Faire gallery from 5-7 p.m. for an opportunity to meet legendary artist Nicholas Toth. Toth is responsible for the iconic diving helmets that are sold as works of art in Tarpon Springs and around the globe. The event is free and open to the public.

Saturday
The North Pinellas Pub Ride begins at Lagerheads at 5:30 p.m. and travels to the Elks at 6:30 p.m. Next on the pub route is the Eagles Nest Lounge with a live performance from Circle Sky. The evening ends at the Zone Lounge, where there will be live music and dancing. The event is themed as the Rocky Horror Picture Show so patrons are encouraged to dress up. All are invited to the pub ride event.

Gasparilla Pirate Fest (Tampa) takes place from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Stages of live entertainments and vendors of food will line the streets of Ashley Dr. from Kennedy Blvd. to Cass St. The event is free and open to the public.
The Gasparilla Parade of the Pirates (Tampa) begins at 2 p.m. The route is as follows: starting on Bay to Bay Blvd. and Bayshore Blvd.; along Bayshore Blvd. to Brorein St., then north on Ashley Dr, ending at Cass St. The event is free and parade goers can view the map of events here.
The Amsterdam Brass Quintet will perform at the Tarpon Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $24 ($20 for members and students). The group is noted for its wide range of sound, from Bach to the Beatles. Quintet member, John Banther is a graduate of Tarpon Springs High School and according to the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts website, it is through him that the group is making a special appearance in the city.Â
Sunday
The Tarpon Sunday Market will be a popular spot from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Fresh produce, local vendors and live entertainment make for an enjoyably relaxing outing.
