Repairs Bring Boil Water Notice For More Than 200 Residents
A large number of Tarpon Springs residents will be under a boil water notice as the Water Division conducts two repairs on Wednesday.
The city of Tarpon Springs Water Division will repair two water lines on Wednesday, affecting residents of the Green Dolphin community and folks near Pineapple Street and West Lime Street.
Meter repair is working on the master meter at Alt. 19, just south of Meres Boulevard. All residents of the neighboring Green Dolphin community affected by this interruption of service were notified on Monday. There are boil water notices going out today, June 12, to about 215 residences in that community. Residents on Golfview Drive, Pine Drive and Oak Circle are also included in this precautionary boil water area.
Water distribution is working on a valve at Pineapple Street and West Lime Street. Interruption of service notices were distributed to affected homeowners in the area earlier this week. There are about 36 residences affected by this repair. Precautionary boil water notices are being distributed to those residences today, as well. The areas affected are Pineapple Street, between Lemon and Lime, Shaddock Street, south of West Lime Street, 304 W. Lime St. and 467, 475, and 483 Kiwi Street.

As soon as repairs are finished, the Water Quality Department will begin the water sampling process. This usually takes about two business days, so hopefully the sampling event will be finished before the weekend.
