Reverse Osmosis Water Plant Construction Delayed in Tarpon Springs

According to the Tampa Bay Times, city officials are facing a road block on their way to constructing a reverse osmosis water plant.

With a plan that began back in 2002, the city is still facing a number of obstacles in constructing a reverse osmosis water plant, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Last month, as the city prepped to review proposals, the second highest bidder initiated a protest that is keeping the project from moving forward, according to the Times.

The chosen group, Wharton-Smith, is being accused of not following bid procedure by second-ranked bidder, Garney Construction, the Times reports.
