Tarpon Police Department Win Chevy Tahoe
The Tarpon Springs Police Department has been recognized for its seat belt safety initiative.

The Tarpon Springs Police Department was recently awarded for its seat belt safety campaign.
The department was awarded the 2013 Florida Click it or Ticket Challenge for agencies with 25-40 sworn patrol officers. The department was awarded a 2013 Chevy Tahoe police vehicle for their honor.
The Florida Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL) Program is a grant funded program sponsored by the Florida Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The Florida Click It or Ticket Challenge, a program run under the LEL, rewards agencies that address safety belt usage in their communities using a multi-faceted approach, according to a press release from the department.
The Chevy Tahoe will be used to continue the agencies commitment to traffic safety and to increase seatbelt usage and reduce DUI’s, speeding, running red lights and aggressive driving.
