Tarpon Tavern Makes National Cut on Urbanspoon
The Tarpon Springs bar and restaurant was one of a select few other locations in Florida.

Among the 200 Most Popular Restaurant Bars, listed by Urbanspoon, in the U.S. is Tarpon Tavern, a local and apparently country-wide favorite.
Tarpon Tavern owner, Dan Jenkin commented that the big-time nod was "good for us and good for Tarpon Springs."
The elite list spanned 101 cities and 33 states, according to Urbanspoon.

Tarpon Tavern was elected with one other Pinellas County establishment, Kingfish Grill in Clearwater.
Other mentions from Florida included Tampa's Ciros Speakeasy, Grille 54 and Mr. Dunderbak's.

Tarpon Tavern, located at 21 N. Safford Ave., is combination of a community pub and a classy restaurant, but offers an environment that appeals to folks across the board.
Jenkin, who is originally from Pennsylvania, migrated to Tarpon Springs in 2008 and said he wouldn't have it any other way.Â
"I looked up and down the coast, but I fell in love with Tarpon Springs,"Â Jenkin told Patch.
