Threats Drive Tarpon High Principal to Send Robocall to Parents

After last Friday's tragedy in Connecticut, a slew of social media sites are being used to push threats of violence at local schools, including Tarpon Springs High, ABC Action News reports

Tarpon Springs High School Principal, Clint Herbic sent a robocall to parents earlier this week to "address widespread talk about a possible school shooting there on Friday," according to ABC Action News.Β 

ABC Action News reports that a number of bay area schools received threats of violence. The report states that the threats are believed to be in conjunction with the mythed end of the world and last Friday's mass killing in Newtown, CT.Β 

Some parents of Tarpon Springs High School students are not taking any chances with the rumors and are keeping their kids home from school, according to ABC Action News.Β
