What Should Go Here: 501 S. Walton Ave. in Tarpon Springs
We want to hear from you, Tarpon Springs. What would you like to see at this location?

After the deteriorating property at 501 S. Walton Ave. was put in the spotlight at a Board of Commissioners meeting in October 2012, Tarpon Springs officials had little choice but to evaluate its state.Â
The property, which used to be an assisted living facility, is the city's most valuable piece of empty real estate, with an estimated worth of more than $2 million.
Tarponites spoke out on what they thought would be the best fit for the property.Â

Jim Costa wrote that he was in support of any kind of development, as long as something evolves sooner than later:Â
"I think it is a good idea to sell it to a group that is interested in making it an asisted living or some other medical facility. Presently, it it just another eyesore for our community. We have too many at this point. Let's clean it up and do the same thing for the other entry points to Tarpon Springs."
Now that the City of Tarpon Springs is seeking to sell the property to a qualified developer, we want to know what you think.Â
