City Manager Search Subject of Special Council Meeting
The City of Temple Terrace has announced a special meeting for Thursday.

The Temple Terrace City Council is scheduled to have a special meeting Thursday to discuss the search for a new city manager, as well as renovations to the City Council Chambers.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall, according to the agenda.
At its regular meeting March 5, the council decided to begin negotiating with their second choice for city manager,Β Dana Hlavac, deputy county manager of Mohave County, AZ. Their first choice,Β Arizona residentΒ Jeffrey Mihelich, declined the job offer because he decided he did not want to move to Florida, council members said.

βFor the long term and for the city, I believe [Hlavac] is the best for us to look at,β said Councilman Bob Boss, who made a motion to offer Hlavac the job.
Councilman David Pogorilich disagreed, saying he favored Gerald Seeber, another finalist. He was the only council member to vote against Bossβ motion but said he will work cooperatively with whomever the city ultimately hires.
