Council Expected to Learn About Community Gardens
The Temple Terrace City Council will meet tonight at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
Temple Terrace Community Garden members have been working on plans for a second garden location, and now they’re ready to bring their proposal to the Temple Terrace City Council.
At its meeting Tuesday evening, the council will hear a presentation from the garden group, according to the meeting agenda.
The garden group has been to create a place where the community can come together to plant and grow vegetables, flowers and Florida native plants. Group members on Temple Terrace Patch. Now, they have a at and plans to build another at near the tennis courts.

The second location is scheduled to open in the fall of 2012.

The council is also scheduled to:
- Have three public hearings and consider ordinance amendments regarding: tree removal and trimming, and the ; supplemental enforcement procedures; and the Municipal Code Enforcement Board.
- Hear two presentations regarding: the ; and the loan amendment.
- Consider four resolutions regarding: the city’s Advanced Life Support services; an agreement with Florida Gas Transmission Company; and the purchase of an unmarked police detective vehicle in the amount of $21,333.25 and equipment in the amount of $4,666.75.
