Crime Report: Burglars Break into Area Homes and a Shed
The following information was supplied by Community Service Officer Tracy Mishler of the Temple Terrace Police Department.

Burglary Residence
Nov. 24, between noon and 2:12 p.m.
5400 block of Grove Hill Road
Unknown subjects used a rock to break a rear bedroom window and enter the home. They stole a video game, sneakers and a manβs watch, according to Community Service Officer Tracy Mishler.
Attempted Burglary Residence
Sometime between Nov. 22 and Nov. 25
1100 block of West River Drive
Unknown subjects cut the rear screen porch and turned off the power to the home. No entry into the home was made, Mishler said.

Sometime between Nov. 23 and Nov. 27
9800 block of Morris Glen Way
Unknown subjects removed the rear sliding glass door from the tracks and took two flat screen televisions, Mishler said.

Armed Burglary Residence
Nov. 27, 8:30 p.m.
8600 block of Grandview Drive
A neighbor saw four suspicious subjects leave the home, which had been broken into a week prior, Mishler said. The neighbor immediately notified police.
Responding officers found the four subjects on bicycles near 56th Street and Riverhills Drive, Mishler said. All four subjects fled in different directions. One was apprehended immediately, and another was apprehended hiding on the side of a nearby residence.

The other two suspects fled toward 56th Street and Chicago Avenue, Mishler said. An officer checking the dumpsters near the post office apprehended the third subject hiding inside a dumpster. The fourth subject was found with the help of a Hillsborough Sheriffβs Office K-9 in the park near Riverhills Drive and 56th Street.
The subjects entered the home by throwing a rock through a kitchen window, Mishler said. They stole two handguns and a laptop computer, which were not recovered.

9800 block of Terrace Trail Lane
Unknown subjects entered the home by forcing open a side window, Mishler said. The subjects took three flat screen televisions, a video game and two laptop computers.

8700 block of Coral Dawn Court
Unknown subjects entered the home by breaking a window, Mishler said. They took a DVD player, two computer routers and a watch worth more than $1,000.

5100 block of Whiteway Drive
Unknown subjects entered the home through a rear unlocked window and took a laptop computer and an e-reader, Mishler said.

520 block of South Riverhills Drive
Unknown subjects entered the home through an unlocked rear garage door and took two flat screen televisions, a video game and a laptop computer, Mishler said.

Between Dec. 4 and Dec. 11
300 block of Glen Burnie Avenue
Unknown subjects entered a rear shed and took a portable generator, a string trimmer, an edger, a hedge trimmer and two tents, Mishler said.

Dec. 12, between 10 a.m. and 3:54 p.m.
530 block of Broxburn Avenue
Unknown subjects entered the home by prying open a rear door, Mishler said. They took two handguns and a digital camera.

Unknown subjects entered the home by breaking a rear bedroom window and took a digital camera, Mishler said.

500 block of Courtney Drive
Unknown subjects stole an unsecured bicycle from an open carport, Mishler said. It is valued at $200.
βAs you can see, we are still experiencing quite a few home burglaries,β Mishler said. βWhen we are successful in making an arrest, it is due to a resident or witness immediately calling the Police Department to report suspicious activity.β

The programβs goal is to place more eyes in neighborhoods during the peak times for crime, Mishler said.
