Mishler said there was also a suspicious person call on Dec. 23 at approximately 7:37 p.m.

He said three to four unknown teenagers approached an open carport at a home in the 200 block of South Glen Arven Avenue. The resident confronted the subjects who fled on foot.

The homeowner called the police department and responding officers were able to find the subjects nearby, Mishler said.

One subject was on probation for burglary and other crimes, Mishler said. Another was taken into custody and charged with violation of probation. The others were released from the scene.

Mishler commended the homeowner for quickly calling police.
