Why I love My Library, Emma Trussell:

I love my library because, first of all, it has lots of books. Anything that I want to read is here. If I know the name of my favorite author, I don’t have to look for them, because the shelves are in alphabetical order and if I can’t find it by myself, the nice librarians are always happy to help and give me suggestions for what else I might want to read. Otherwise I can browse the library.

One of the other reasons I like the library is because it’s quiet. If I need to concentrate on something then I can always trust the library, because you’re not supposed to talk in the library. Sometimes you can see people come in and work on their laptops.

They always have something fun going on. Every holiday, special events or anniversaries they have something going on. Sometimes they have something fun going on just to have something fun going on like puppet shows or reading to toddlers or little kids.

In the children’s section there are so many things to choose from. They have magazines and books. They have some good books back there. Though I read a little higher grade level than that. I read twelfth grade level books. Bit high for a fourth grader, huh? One reason is just from reading a fourth grade book in second grade. I gradually worked my way higher. Another reason I read so well is because my grandma has been taking me to the library since I was two and taught me to read thin books at the age of two.

When you are looking for books on tape, go to the library. They have all the books on tape that you could ever want. It’s like you come in wanting one and come out holding three or four. If you can’t find a book, just ask a librarian. They’ll be glad to help.

That’s why I love my library. I may be a big reader, but that doesn’t mean people who don’t like to read don’t like the library. Everyone that I know does.

Β Why I Love My Library, Caleb Jones:

I love my library because I can read and it helps my brain grow. I enjoy pickink out books for myself. Some of my favorite books are Magic Treehouse, Three Cousins Detective Club, and Dr. Seuss books. One of my favorite silly books is β€œI’ll Teach My Dog 100 Words.”

Some other reasons I love my library are storytime, computer time, craft time and getting books from other libraries. The library is a great place to meet some friends too. I really love my library because its a fun place to learn and go on an adventure in my imagination.

Why I Love the T.T. Public Library?, Jessie Mallory:

I love the T.T. public library because you get free books there. For instance, my favrot books our baby mouse books. Baby mouse books are kid of like comicse. For movies I like to get Star Wars the Clone Wars. Thir are books and video games for it. Do you like those books or movies? You should. After we get our books or movies, we go to story time. Story time is where Mr. Jacob reads a book and he gives us a little craft to go whith it. My favrot craft was when we made a beach. To make a beach, you get a papper, you get bright blue sand and dar blue sand, then you color the sun. You never ever want to forget obut the sand. Make sure the sand is peach. After you get your matereals, you glue the sand on the bottom. It’s going to be peach the sand that you glue on the bottom. After you glue the peach sand on you get the dark blue sand. You put the dark sand on top of the peach sand. That will be your water. Then you put light blue sand on the very top of the paper. And last but not least you draw the yellow sun and if you want to you can glue some shells on like I did. After story time we check out our books or movies. The we go home. When we come back they might have the summer programs or Dr. Susse day. In the summer programs they have (…) and singing. My favrit is the magic show. My favrot part in the magic show was when some one ate fire. And in the middle of it he cald me up to do it(…) And guess what I did it. Since I one he gave me the card that I pict and he also sinde his name. I don’t remember his name. On Dr. Susse day we get to play games, get your face painted, and you can color. That is why I love the public library. Do you love the public library?

Faith Robinson:

Why I love my library? Well that is a great question, because I have millions of answers! Don’t worry I’ll only do a couple.

For an example, if you just had the hardest test at school, go to the library after school, find the coziest chair, plop yourself down, and read, read, read! That’s one way to relax after a long day at school.

I love going to the library to check out amazing books, but I also like to see what activities they librarian has put out for the events or holidays that are going on in the school.

Okay, two down a couple more to go! P.S if you haven’t noticed I love the library!

When I go to the library I usually look for animal books, mysteries, and humorous books! What I want a book to make me do, is jump out of my seat because of the shock, for me to do a loud outburst of laughter, and for me to say ahhh that’s so cute.

What I love to do is find a great book, find a chair, and then read like no one has ever read before! Once you get into a good book there’s no out of it. Trust me on that one.

Sometimes I go to the library to find a movie even, but when I go to the library there’s no way I’m not leaving with out a book in my hand and maybe a movie in the other.

(…)

When it’s time to leave I’m upset, but I know we’ll come back because I love the library!

In the library when I’m reading a book I’ll glace at the magazines. Basically I’ll only read American Girl magazines. You know, the girly things. Yes, American Girl is girly.

Well, now you have a hint or two of how I love my library. You have to admit it is a really fun place to go after a long day of school. I wonder how other people feel about the library, here’s how I’ll find out, do you love your library as much as me?

Why I Love My Library, Shamod Mahawela:

The Temple Terrace Public Library is my favorite library. Since I go to King IB high school, the Temple Terrace library is always there so I can visit it easily on my way back home. I love the Temple Terrace Library because of the selection of books and movies available and the librarians are extremely friendly and helpful.

At the Temple Terrace Library, anybody can find an amazing selection of books. I personally love mystery novels, and this library has a whole ton of them. I could spend hours browsing through the vast array of books they have, looking for one to take home. But I always end up taking a whole bunch because the books are so good. Just as the Temple Terrace library has a great selection of books, they also have a great selection of movies too. They have movies ranging from horror to comedy flicks and dramas to documentaries. I like watching comedy movies and I always find hilarious movies that I can take home and enjoy. Not only are there DVDs for me, my parents and my brother also love taking home some movies they want to watch and enjoy.

The librarians at the Temple Terrace Library are second-to-none. They are extremely friendly and helpful. Whenvever you walk up to one of them, they always greet you with a smile and start helping you right away. One day I sought some help form one of the librarians to find the Oregon Files series, which is one of my favorites. Not only did the librarian help me find it, we also had a great conversation about the books and she also recommended some other books for me to try out. Having a great work force is an essential part of having a great public place, and the staff of the Temple Terrace Library is a great model for that.

The Temple terrace library is by far my favorite library. They have a great selection of books and movies and their librarians are extremely friendly and helpful. I visit this library very often and will continue to do so in the future. Lastly, Happy 50th Anniversary Temple Terrace Library!!

Why I Love My Library, Beyza Gultekin:

A smile crept across my face. The quiet and friendly environment, which I had called a second home, had welcomed me. After a long and hard day at school, the library was my favorite place to go…

As I walked through the isle of books, they all seemed to say, β€œRead me. Read me.” Every book had its own story to tell, whether it was sad, happy, funny, and etc. They were all so unique; a lifetime of adventures was waiting for me, all I had to do was turn the page. Finding the right books, I settle down on a chair, and let myself flow to the rythm of the book.

Though it wasn’t only books offered at TTPL, a large variety of magazines, movies, and recordings were also placed neatly on the shelves. If I ever have a project, or need to do some research, dozens of computers are open for anyone to use.

Before I know it, the clock says 4:30, which unfortunately means I have to go. As, I approach the checkout line, my favorite part of the whole library experience is to come… The walls are plastered with the most breath taking and the most beautiful paintings I have yet seen. The amazing symetry, the landscape, and the view making the library an even more beautiful place to come. Carried away by the astonishing art, it’s my turn in line to check out for the books. A friendly woman, carefully takes the books, scans them, and hands them back to me. I hold the books in my hand and quickly race towards the exit, obviously eager to enjoy my books.

Heading out of the parking lot, I take a good look at the tall building, I had just left. Deep inside, I knew that it wasn’t just an ordinary building. The library was a whole new dimension on life, a life that I could freely by myself, no motives questioned, and that’s why I love my library.

Drew Boddie:

My name is Drew Boddie. I’m twelve years old. I like to draw and read. Home was my first inspiration for reading. We have a huge family library but storage space has become an issue. This is where the library comes in. I like the library because it’s bright, airy and has a multitude of books. There are six people in my family. All of us visit the library regularly. The library is always one of our outings when go on vacation. It has become a tradition. We get a chance to unwind, read and explore a familiar setting in a different place. The library is awesome. I’ve attended town hall meetings, met politicians, rode a horse and learned about robots at the library. There is nothing better than the library.
