The Temple Terrace Fire Department is an authorized provider of the American Heart Association's Emergency Cardiovascular Care courses.
The Heartsaver/First Aid course is designed for lay professionals who serve as rescuers as part of their job descriptions. This course include six modules: general principles; medical emergincies; injury emergencies; environmental emergencies; CPR; and AED training. It runs anywhere between three and seven hours and costs $40. Fees collected from the course help the fire department provide CPR community education and awareness.
If a course is canceled due to low registration or a community emergency, registered participants will be notified prior to the course and given the option to reschedule.
