Facebook Privacy Notice is a Hoax

The legal disclaimer making its way through your friends' status updates does nothing to alter the social networking site's Terms of Service.

Have you seen the legal disclaimer that claims to protect your privacy rights posted on Facebook a lot the past few days?  Don't buy it.

Facebook's new status (pun partially intended) as a publicly traded company did nothing to alter the privacy agreements users had before it went public. And posting the notice does nothing to alter the agreement users accept when registering for an account on the site.
