Smooth Sailing on the Horizon?

Motorists who trek across Northwest Hillsborough or Pasco County have long said there’s no good way to travel from U.S. 19 to U.S. 301. The rally cry for a new east-west road to fix that has gone up again, but this time it’s private firms looking into making it happen. An unsolicited proposal to construct a 33-mile toll road at no expense to taxpayers has landed on the desks of officials at the Florida Department of Transportation and they’re taking the offer seriously, according to TBO.com. The elevated road would run along State Roads 54 and 56. Is this a good idea?
