New Jazz Recording a Product of 30-Year Relationship

Chuck Owen and Tom Morris recently collaborated on a jazz recording at Morrisound Recording in Temple Terrace.

Owen is a jazz composer and professor at the University of South Florida, and Morris is a producer as well as co-owner of Morrisound Recording.

The new collaboration is called River Runs. According to an article about the recording on Tampabay.com, "Many composers have tried the jazz-classical fusion, but few are able to bring it off." Yet, the article notes that "With about an hour of music, Owen's opus has the dimensions of a symphony by Bruckner or Mahler."
