New Teachers Welcomed at Chamber Breakfast

About 200 teachers from Temple Terrace area schools turned out for the 's 15th annual Aug. 17.

The event, which took place at the , was meant to help acquaint new teachers with the community and provide opportunities for local businesses to get involved in the education of local children.

“This is the chamber’s way of extending a warm welcome to teachers who are new to over 20 schools in the greater Temple Terrace area,” said Barbara Sparks-McGlinchy, the chamber’s executive director.

Teachers also were treated to breakfast and had the chance to win door prizes provided by local businesses.
