Robbers in Hoods, Masks Still on the Loose, Deputies Say

Three men robbed 56th Street Sweeps, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help regarding a robbery that occurred at 56th Street Sweeps on March 30.

Two black men wearing hooded sweatshirts, masks and gloves entered the Internet sweepstakes store at 7637 N. 56th St. Tampa at approximately 1:25 a.m., according to a sheriff’s office media release. A third man with the same description stayed outside by the front door.

After entering the business through the front door, the first two men produced handguns and demanded money from an employee, the release states. They took money from the cash register, as well as the employee’s wallet, and fled.
