Stoplight Construction Begins On Bullard Parkway

Relief for Ridgedale and Sunnyside roads is on the way.

Motorists on Bullard Parkway might want to pay extra attention at the intersection of Ridgedale and Sunnyside roads.

That's where installation of a traffic light is underway. The Hillsborough County project, which costs about $268,000, is expected to be complete in a couple months.

The goal if the signal is to reduce the amount of back-ups on Ridgedale and Sunnyside.

According to Temple Terrace Patch readers Waver Broers and Michael Jacobson, the light is a welcome addition to the intersection.

"Something has been needed to be done there for YEARS!" Broers commented on a June story about the light.

"I'll miss playing Frogger crossing the street," Jacobsen wrote. "It's amazing there weren't many fatalities. Better late than never."

Do you agree? What do you think of the future traffic light? Tell us in the comments.
