A Temple Terrace woman was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital Monday after she was involved in a crash in Zephyrhills, south of Rapid River Drive. Marquita S. Wooten, 28, was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 301 when she began to hydroplane and rotate, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Her 2003 Honda 2-door traveled into the path of a 2002 Chevy pickup, driven by David B. Hessinger, 53, of Crystal Springs, FHP states. Hessinger hit the back of Wooten's car. Wooten received critical injuries, according to FHP. Hessinger was taken to Tampa General Hospital. FHP is investigating the crash.
