Valentine’s Day Events in Temple Terrace

Looking for something fun or romantic to do on Valentine’s Day or the days leading up to it? Here is a roundup of events happening locally. 

When: Saturday, Feb. 11, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Where:
How much: $10 per person
What: Attendees will make Valentine’s Day-themed bracelets and earrings. All supplies will be provided.

When: Saturday, Feb. 11; doors open at 7 p.m., performance begins at 8 p.m.
Where: Congregation Beth Am, 2030 W Fletcher Ave.
How much: $18 in advance; $20 at the door
What: Deanna and Russ Oberbroeckling will perform in a production by A.R. Gurney. This is an adult-only evening.

When: Sunday, Feb. 12, 1-3 p.m.
Where:
How much: $3 per person
What: Dads and their daughters are invited to enjoy a special afternoon of music, dancing and light refreshments.

When: Tuesday, Feb. 14, 6 p.m.
Where:
How much: $60 per person, plus tax
What: Guests 21 and older can venture through Edge of Africa to witness the active nighttime behaviors of hippos, lions and hyenas, lit only by moonlight and handheld lanterns. Then, on the Serengeti Plain, they can use night-vision monoculars and special filtered lighting to view free-roaming herds of giraffes, zebra, rhinos and other intriguing African animals. Afterward, they can cozy up around a roaring bonfire to hear colorful tales of African folklore.

Where: Planetarium
How much: $100 per couple; $80 per couple for MOSI members (pre-registration required)
What: Your reservation includes a light dinner under a changing sky that will take you to the most romantic cities in the world while listening to the world’s most passionate love songs.

What: Dixie Blue will play for the night and we will have several drink specials for the day. Buy a sandwich or drink on Valentine’s Day get and get a cookie for free.
