Williams Road Expected to Close Tuesday

If you travel on Williams Road just east of Temple Terrace, you might want to find an alternate route Tuesday, July 16.

That’s when a segment of the road will be closed to traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. while a 12-inch water main is replaced, according to a City of Temple Terrace press release. Detour signs will be posted.

“The segment is between Fowler Avenue and U.S. 301, just outside the city limit, but one heavily traveled by Temple Terrace commuters,” the release states.

After the water main is installed, additional road restoration work will begin. That work will require temporary lane closures, but the road will be open for two-way traffic, according to the release.
