Orchids Class; Mall Family Fun: 5 Things To Know This Week, Jan. 2-6

- Blockbuster Video in Westchase is closing. Rentals can longer be made at the 12105 W. Linebaugh Avenue location. All merchandise is now for sale. Some DVDs are as low as $5.
- The Westchase Community Development District will meet Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 4pm. Swim and Tennis Center, 10405 Countryway Blvd. in Tampa.
- Learn everything there is to know about growing orchids during this Master Gardners presentation "Fun with Orchids" at the Austin Davis Library on Tuesday, Jan. 3. The event is for orchid growers with a few plants or those who are considering purchasing their first orchid. How to care for orchids, repotting and dividing techniques are among the topics to be covered. 6:30pm-7:30pm, 17808 Wayne Rd. in Odessa.
- On Thursday Jan. 5, teens can learn how to make a poster using Microsoft Publisher at the Upper Tampa Bay Library. Keyboard and basic computer skills required. 6th-12th graders welcomed. 5:30pm-6:45pm, 11211 Countryway Blvd in Tampa.
- Family Fun Days are back at Citrus Park Mall, On Thursday, Jan. 5 4pm-5:30pm. Kids can take part in story time where the books "Shante Keys and the New Year's Peas" and "Dragon Dancing" will be read. A healthy snack and craft activities will also be a part of the fun.
