The Zumper Tampa Metro Report analyzed active rental listings to show the most and least expensive cities to rent apartments.

TAMPA, FL – Those searching for a cheap apartment in Tampa Bay might want to avoid Westchase.
The Zumper Tampa Metro Report analyzed active rental listings in July across 17 metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities to rent apartments and the cities with the fastest-growing rents.
The Florida state median rent last month was $1,185.

Zumper’s study of Tampa Bay showed that renting an apartment in Westchase is going to take the biggest bite out of an apartment hunter’s wallet.
Westchase rent grew $30 to $1,300 a month for a one-bedroom apartment and remained the most expensive in Tampa Bay.

Coming in at second most expensive was Dunedin with a one-bedroom apartment priced at $1,200.
To find the least expensive apartment, renters will need to head to New Port Richey, which ranked the least expensive in Tampa Bay at $720 per month, Hudson at $780 a month or Tarpon Springs at $850 a month.
