Glencliff Park No Fun For Some
A resident brought up concerns about park goers not following opening and closing times at the park and being rowdy

Hours for Westchase parks may be daylight to sundown, but when it comes to Glencliff Park those rules don't always apply, according to some residents.
Glencliff Circle resident Bill Lemen expressed concern about people using the park after hours, as well as issues of loud music and profane language being used by park goers during this month's Community Development District meeting.
"The biggest issue is the park is a CDD property," said Lemen, suggesting the park is being used by non-Westchase residents. "The ad valorem taxes you manage are being used to maintain a park open to anybody. I find that a little troubling."

Ernie Sylvester, Westchase CDD supervisor, noted the problem of people showing up at the park before daylight on Sundays to secure a spot on the playing fields. On Sundays, Glencliff Park, located at 12292 Glencliff Circle, is a popular spot for football and soccer players.
The park also features two basketball courts, a walking trail and playground.

"I think people using the park on Sundays are pushing the limits trying to get the field," Sylvester said. "Some as early as 5:30am."
The Hillsborough County sheriff's deparment does patrol Glencliff Park. Supervisors discussed beefing up those patrols and installing signage at the park with a hard open and close time.
