Watch: Florida Resident Fishes in the Street
Flooding along Hillsborough Avenue and Sawyer Road had some people making their own fun.

Forget dancing in the streets. Hillsborough County residents have taken to fishing instead as flooding continues throughout the region.
A videographer proved that Monday, filming a man along Hillsborough Avenue at Sawyer Road as he reached into flood waters and managed to pull up a fish with his bare hands.

Hillsborough Avenue has experienced heavy flooding in the past day with the sheriff’s office reporting that many sections of the road were impassable to traffic as of Monday morning. A number of other roads throughout the county are also under water as rain continues to fall.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Hillsborough County through 4:30 p.m. Monday and a flood watch through Tuesday at 8 p.m. as more rain is anticipated to move into the area. Localized flooding has also led to evacuations in the Elfers and Palm Harbor areas.
