Barrow Organization Receives Grant From Gwinnett Braves
The $1,000 grant for Family Connection and Communities in Schools of Barrow County was announced Oct. 8.

A Barrow County organization is the recipient of a Gwinnett Braves "Back to School" grant.
The $1,000 grant for Family Connection and Communities in Schools of Barrow County was announced Oct. 8. The grant will help fund the organization's "Back to School Bash," a program whose aim is to distribute more than 400 book bags, pens, pencils and notebooks to school-aged children in Barrow County.
“With programs that focus on youth peer-to-peer leadership, healthy decision making and breaking down barriers that keep students from coming to school and learning, we feel we are making a difference in our future leaders,” said Meg Loggins, Executive Director of Family Connection and Communities in Schools of Barrow County, in a released statement.
