Free Geek Day, Bridal Event and Back-to-school Carnival

Do you have news you would like to share with the Barrow community? It's easy to do. Barrow Patch readers like you have posted a variety of news and events during the past week, and we've rounded up the top 5.

1. A downtown Winder computer and cell phone repair shop will host Free Geek Day on Aug. 10.  A team of 4 computer technicians will provide a choice of free virus removal or free hard drive operating system reinstall (for re-installs, customers must have already backed up their own files, or pay a $40 fee). 

2. Mark your calendars! Barrow County Christian Academy will hold a Back-to-school carnival on Aug. 10.

3.. A yard sale is planned for this Saturday, Aug. 3, at the corner of Jefferson Highway and Highway 211 in the parking lot of EZ Buy Chevron.

4. Also coming up this weekend is a bridal event at the Carl House. Meet with wedding professionals on Sunday, Aug. 4 from 1-3 p.m.

5. The next meeting of the Barrow County Republicans will take place on Aug. 19.
