New Steakhouse Expected to Open Early Next Year
The restaurant will be located in the Gateway at University Parkway development.

Barrow County residents will be able to enjoy steaks, salads and sandwiches at the new Barrow County Longhorn Steakhouse early next year.
In an Oct. 22 email to Barrow Patch, Longhorn spokesperson Erica Ettori said the restaurant is expected to open in early 2014. The 5,400-square-foot restaurant will feature 240 total seats and employ 80-100 team members, she added.
The restaurant will be located in the Gateway at University Parkway center located off Highway 316 in Bethlehem.
In an earlier post on the Gateway at University Parkway Facebook page, Rich Combs, managing partner of the Gateway project, is quoted as saying, "Longhorn's commitment and investment in our community proves that Barrow County is now at a population level where other national restaurant chains and quality retailers will finally call Barrow County home. The Gateway will be at the center of that development over the next several years. The citizens now only need to support Longhorn and other great businesses will follow. We now have food, entertainment and shopping all right here in Barrow."
Longhorn is part of the Darden family of restaurants, which includes Red Lobster, Olive Garden and Bahama Breeze.Â
