Winder Man Charged with Theft of Catalytic Converters in Two Counties
The suspect reportedly confessed to the crimes.

A Winder man is facing charges related to the theft of catalytic converters in Oconee and Jackson counties.Â
The Athens Banner-Herald reports Christopher Leon Pope, 38, was arrested in April in Jackson County and charged with 12 counts of felony theft. He is also facing an arson charge after one vehicle caught fire during an attempt to steal gasoline. Â
