Participating "zombies" will perform a street dance routine to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

Put on your best zombie costume and get ready to dance your way onto YouTube.

The Winder Downtown Development Authority is co-sponsoring a "Thriller Dance" Zumba party on Oct. 25 with Anytime Fitness at the gazebo in downtown Winder.

Meredith Cameron of the Winder DDA said the event is a way for people to come out and enjoy Zumba downtown.

"It's like a big party," she said.

The event will include the filming of a "Thriller Dance" movie. Anyone who wishes to participate in the movie should be at the gazebo at 7 p.m. to briefly practice the dance. After a 10-minute or so long practice, Jackson Street will be closed for the dance production. The video, Cameron said, will be uploaded to YouTube.

According to Cameron, previous downtown Zumba parties have drawn between 75 to 125 participants.

The event will run from 7-9 p.m. Admission is $10. For more information, visit the Winder Downtown website.
