
Bessie Faulkner celebrated her 101th birthday June 21 among 64 seniors and family members at the Buford Senior Center.
A regular attendee at the center, Bessie enjoys socializing and playing Bingo.
Among her relatives attending the birthday party were granddaughter Karen Henderson, great-great grandson Oliver Bostick, granddaughter Pamela Brown, great-great grandson Jeremiah Bostick, great-grandaughter Keisa Bostick, great-great grandson Joshua Bostick, grandson Barry Faulkner, Karen Henderson’s husband Leroy Henderson and her brother-in-law Jacob Henderson.

The Buford facility is one of three senior centers operated by Gwinnett County senior Services (GSS). The other two are located in Norcross and Lawrenceville.
GSS provides daily services to more than 750 senior citizens age 60 and older including 160,000-plus home-delivered and congregate meals. An average of 140 seniors are on the waiting list for home-delivered meals.
