2 People Sought After $2,000 In Sunglasses Swiped, Reward Offered

Gwinnett Police need the public's help to identify 2 people who, they say, are sought in connection to $2,000 worth of stolen sunglasses.

BUFORD, GA — The Gwinnett County Police Department needs the public's help to identify two people who, they say, are sought in connection to five pair of sunglasses that were stolen, totalling more than $2,000.

After reviewing surveillance footage of the crime, the lead detective assigned to the case observed that the shoplifting suspect visited the mall with an unknown woman. Police say her level of involvement is not known at this time. Additionally, the man and woman were last seen in a blue Honda Accord.

On Nov. 4, the man walked into the Sunglass Hut, at the Mall of Georgia, and grabbed five pairs of sunglasses and placed the merchandise in an H&M bag and exited the store. The sunglasses total value was in excess of $2,000.

The man is described as in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 5’8” to 6’0”, black hair, medium build, 180 lbs. to 220 lbs.

The woman is described as last 20s to early 30s, approximately 5’5” to 5’7”, blonde hair, 140 lbs. to 160 lbs.

The suspect vehicle is a newer model blue Honda Accord with out-of-state license plate.
