A 'Back To School' Event With Fireworks

Sugar Hill will have 'Back To School With a Bang' at E.E. Robinson Park.

The postponed Fourth of July fireworks in Sugar Hill will be combined with a special Back To School event in August.

The city will have Back To School With a Bang on Saturday, Aug. 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at E.E. Robinson Park (850 Level Creek Road), according to a city news release.

Activities will include live music, a movie, and the fireworks that were delayed by weather from Independence day.

Music begins at 7:15 p.m., with Peggie Hoskins and Soulshine, followed by the Idol Kings, a Mellencamp/Journey cover band.

Fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m. The evening concludes with a showing of "The Lorax" on a big screen.

Parking and shuttle service will be available from Sugar Hill Church on Nelson Brogdon Boulevard, beginning at 6:15 p.m.
