Laundry Room Burglary Caught on Camera

Gwinnett Police said the suspect broke into an apartment laundry and may have been speaking on phone with "look-out."

Gwinnett Police released images and video that they say show a man breaking into a coin-operated laundry at a Buford-area apartment complex, while he was speaking on his cell phone with a possible accomplice.

In two videos released from the Aug. 9 burglary at the Summer Park Apartment Complex, a middle-aged white male is seen climbing through a door into the laundry and carrying a blue laundry basket with the tools he used to commit the crime.

Police say he took 45 minutes to drill into the side of a washing machine to remove money -- totaling around $400. He also caused around $250 in damage.
